The Madison Lynx became the first team to win multiple SFLm Championships Wednesday night, taking down the Lexington Minors 19-13 in the league’s 4th title game. Madison won the first Championship, over Ottawa.

Quarterback Xander Moon was an efficient 20-for-29 passing accounting for 124 yards and a touchdown. Running back Marcus Dunhill carried the rock 27 times for 131 yards (SFLm Championship record) and tight end Scott Fowl notched the passing touchdown to go along with 6 grabs for 37 yards.

Clay Martin, Adrian Blane and Michael Lister all had interceptions for the defense and kicker Alek Finlay tied a Championship Game record with four made field goals in the contest.

Lexington enjoyed its most successful season ever, under the direction of new Head Coach Ethan Kye. Lexington upset Annapolis in the semifinals 29-26 and had a 6-3 halftime lead against the Lynx before surrendering 10 straight in the third period. The Minors had more total yards (277-265) then Madison, but lost the turnover battle 4-0.
