Apologies to our loyal readers, but planning and executing SFL Sims ATL ended up taking more time, energy, and several EMTs than previously expected; fortunately for all, the Beat Team is back up and running, with the content you’ve been craving for a fortnight now! Onwards!

Quarterback Ron Cockren of the Alaska Storm has proven himself to be week two’s OPOTW. He was forced to summon his inner-Tom Brady. His performance in a rematch of season 12’s championship game versus the Denver Nightwings was excellent! Cockren racked up 416 yards on 21 out of 32 attempts (4 TDs and 2 INTs); and willed the Storm to a 38-34 victory.

Runner Up for OPOTW is Halfback Ray Bentley of the Mexico City Aztecs. After week one’s lackluster performance, the Hall-of-Famer looked to have redeemed himself. Bentley gained 219 yards on 19 carries, scored two rushing touchdowns, and helped his team win 40-17 over the Pharaohs of New Orleans.

Week two’s DPOTW is FS Jeffrey Daggs of the Mexico City Aztecs. Daggs had an exceptional game versus the Pharaohs, recording 10 tackles and a 15-yard INT.

Carolina’s FS Trystan Hatley comes in as the DPOTW Runner Up. In a tightly contested game versus the Vancouver Legion, Hatley snagged two interceptions and ended the game with five tackles.
