The Simulation Football League presented by APM Music brings you the SFL Draft Saturday night at 6 p.m. CT, 7 p.m. ET on Twitch, hosted by Director of Broadcasting Mike Daggs. Commissioner Cameron Irvine will make all 17 selections live from the SFL Network Studio.

With Mike Daggs and Cameron Irvine will be a four-person panel that includes London Knights owner Liam Crowter, SFL Play-by-Play commentator Michael Truilo, SFL analyst Dan Mitchell and one of last season’s top Rookies and Play-by-Play commentator Rich Pratchard.

The league will have 17 selections in this seasons draft, as only 17 rookies currently hold any draft stock. With Carolina, Charleston, London, Queen City, San Francisco, Sioux Falls and Vancouver signing owner rookie players post draft; Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Mexico City, New Orleans and Tallahassee carrying full rosters, plus contracts that have not yet been announced, the league has worked with teams to determine roster spots still available in combination with last season’s standings to determine the finalized draft order:

  1. St. Louis
  2. Houston
  3. Oklahoma City
  4. Carolina
  5. Charleston
  6. Atlanta
  7. San Francisco
  8. Tulsa
  9. Vancouver
  10. London
  11. Las Vegas
  12. Queen City
  13. Sioux Falls
  14. Alaska
  15. St. Louis
  16. Oklahoma City
  17. San Francisco

All rookies who do not sign through the draft will next have an opportunity to sign with a team after Week 2 during the transaction period of July 19-20 to fill inactive spots. All teams are expected to fill their rosters heading into the season for the fourth-straight season of the progression era.

After the Rookie Showcase, some players earned value boosts based on their performance, but those value boosts are only available if the player signs at that position:

If a player does not sign at the position he or she played in the showcase, the following was their final value, according to the last published Rookie Big Board: A player can sign to any position. If a player does not sign with the team that drafted them, they lose all draft value and fall to base copper. All contracts, as with all players, are good for one season. SFL teams must declare which position they intend to sign the player at when the selection is made. Each team will have five minutes to make their selection. At the end of the five minutes, if a selection isn’t made then the pick is forfeited to the next team and the draft will circle back around to the team who previously did not make a selection in time.
