The SFL and ScoreStream have entered a partnership that will put the SFL on a platform with thousands of high school, collegiate and professional associations providing live score updates for all SFL games. The SFL is the first competitive esports league on the ScoreStream app.

“Our community has been asking for a SFL app for a long time, but this is even better,” said Commissioner Cameron Irvine. “ScoreStream allows us to not only keep our community updated on scores right from their phone, but it also allows us to spread our brand to other ScoreStream app users, as live games are placed on the front page of the app. We’re able to link live game feeds through the scoreboard app, connecting us to potentially hundreds of thousands of new SFL inquries and members. I’d like to personally thank SFL broadcast team member Alvin Washington for doing his due-diligence in finding such an outstanding partner to fuel the SFL’s growth.”

ScoreStream is a mobile and desktop application where fans can share live scores, photos, and videos for the sports that they love. Fans can follow their favorite teams, chat about the games, and even get recaps for the games they missed. ScoreStream is partnered with the Associated Press, iHeart, Sinclair, and many regional media companies to provide live scores and content. A social network built around sports, ScoreStream has become the destination for fans to show love for their teams as they capture over 10,000 games a week. ScoreStream gives the power back to the fans, but also works with many leagues to provide their official scoring.

“We originally launched as a platform to cover high school sports with a particular emphasis on the most widely played team sports,” said Derrick Oien, CEO of ScoreStream. “Over the years we have added a bunch of other team sports as well as some international sports like handball and netball. We have had a lot of inbound interest from esports teams and leagues, and we are absolutely thrilled to be working with the SFL. The SFL will be our first foray into a new category for us, esports, in a sport that is widely popular on ScoreStream, Football, and we can’t wait to introduce the league to our fans.”

ScoreStream becomes the exclusive live scoring mechanism for the SFL. Download the app today and follow your team so you never miss score updates again and look out for ScoreStream integration into broadcasts starting in Week 10. Live score tracking and all ScoreStream features will be available to the SFL community starting in Week 10 as the league builds out its new platform.
