In a 40-6 beat down of the Dallas Ruffnecks, the Hyenas had no mercy for their Texas neighbor. The Hyenas offense finally came to life and helped carry the team to a win. The defense allowed nothing to get passed them after a strong first drive by Dallas. Ryan Michael’s 2 interceptions, one of which he returned to house, helped solidify the lead.

D.R. Sim went off and burned every single Ruffneck’s secondary player. He hauled in 7 catches for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both came on very long plays. WR Malone also chipped in bringing in a 46 yard touchdown. Warren Murray had a big day until it was stopped due to an injury. His final stat line was 13 carries for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Eddie Gauge also went down with an injury after intercepting a Macc Wavy Jr. pass. The injury allowed Dallas to move down the field, but the comeback window had already been shut.

Prince Escobar had a decent day as well with 9 catches for 92 yards, but wasn’t enough to take down the Hyenas. The defense was just not showing up at all, allowing the Hyenas to do what they wanted.

The Dallas Ruffnecks host another struggling team, the 0-3 San Francisco Sharks, as one of these teams will pick up their first win.

The Houston Hyenas head to San Antonio to take on the 2-1 Vaqueros in another Texas showdown.
