The Simulation Football League has its conferences! Now it just needs its schedule and playoff format. All in due time.
The league released its revised conferences since expanding to a record-high 18 teams last month. The Mexico City Aztecs, defending champions, will be paired with old rival Tallahassee and 4X champion Queen City Corsairs in what SFL chatter is calling the toughest conference, along with Season 9 East Finalist Atlanta, newcomer London and Carolina, who will be the retooled underdog not to be taken lightly.
The central is headlined by the Chicago Wildcats – after them veteran teams Oklahoma City and Sioux Falls come knocking along with the St. Louis Gladiators and their new-look coaching staff and two expansion teams – the Indianapolis Red Devils and the Tulsa Desperados.
In the West, the Texas triangle clashes with the great northwest and pacific, led by the Vancouver Legion and Alaska Storm. The Dallas Ruffnecks have high hopes of getting back to the playoffs while the Hyenas are trying to get over that first round hump. The Vaqueros go for a better second season and San Francisco enters uncharted waters as an expansion team.
